A Change Of Pace
Through a series of uncontrollable events, I happened to find myself up past the dawn of the day.
Those of you who know me, know that I’m not really a morning person. So, I found myself in the unusual position of viewing a couple of sunrises. The above was taken on my way home at 6:00 AM just off of Stoney Trail NE in Calgary. I knew my wife wouldn’t be up yet, so taking a few extra minutes wouldn’t leave anyone waiting for me. The color was building and I wanted to stop as soon as I saw it, but I waited to get to a place where I knew there was some standing water. The morning winds had the surface churned up preventing a perfect reflection.
The next week found me coming over Kicking Horse Pass at 7:30 AM. The mist was rising out of the the valley creating a separation between the silhouetted foreground trees and the background mountains. Mornings can be interesting.
In the best light…
See John, I knew you would like mornings if you were up to see them!!! 😉 Great shots my friend!
