Broken Feed Drive

The drive chain that runs the feeder on the combine pickup broke and jammed the front full. Under the flood lights from the combine and work lights from the service truck, the canola was brightly light in the darkening night.

The combine Is almost ready to unload, the operator has the auger swung out to empty the grain tank. The grain cart operator is coming across the field to take the crop from the combine. After emptying several combines, the cart will unload into the semi-trailer truck waiting near the driveway to the field.

As the sun reaches towards the horizon, the combine races across the field. It hurries to bring in the crop, in this case, canola. The Carlson Ag crew will work late into the night tonight, but the moisture content will rise after the sun sets. So, getting the dry harvest off is important.
