I’ve done more black and white this year than I’ve done in a long time. These were al shot this year and I chose them as my best of the year. In no particular order.

Baby Cow

One of the best reasons for visiting farms in the spring time is to see the new babies. Even though the calendar says spring, the spring like weather has yet to arrive. This beautiful little calf was born in a mild period before the return of winter here. The calf shed in which this little guy was laying had nice even light and kept him out of the direct sun and out of the cold wind.

The curious cat from my last post went visiting the other farm animals. She walked across the top of the fence rail until she came face to face with a horse that was curious as well. It is often fleeting moments that you can capture that make your best images.

Visits to a farm may also include encounters with cats. Often when they see you, they scatter and hide. Sometimes they are very curious cats. This one was a very curious cat and followed us around to see what we were doing.
