In such an iconic place, you know that there will be shots that are similar to others that have been taken at the location. Sometimes that is a good thing. This particular location is very well known to anyone who has seen the movie Forrest Gump. The view from this vantage point was so striking that upon topping the last rise and seeing it for the first time, I just had to stop to take pictures.

The fall is a beautiful time in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. In certain areas, ranching is still prominent. If you are lucky, you may get to see an actual cattle drive in progress. I liked the lines in the hills and the triangles that they created.

The working combine is a sentinel providing food for our nation, our world. In this image, I hoped to convey the vastness of the prairies and the wide open skies. By converting to a toned monochrome, it focuses on the lines, layers and depth.
