Autumn Road
There are far worse things to do than travelling down side roads in the fall and see the coloured foliage. I found it interesting that the trees facing us on the left have lost their leaves but the ones farther in the grove and along the road have retained theirs. The gravel road tops a small rise and disappears into the distance.

Sunrise At Yaki Point
After getting up before sunrise, I hoofed it out of the room at Yavapai Lodge and made for the bus. Due to a misunderstanding with the bus schedule, I waited in the wrong place for my transfer and barely made it to Yaki Point at sunrise instead of before. Even with no predawn shots, I worked the location with the light that was available. I was attracted to the backlighting on the yellow leaves looking down into the canyon.

Autumn Glory
There are few plants in Alberta that actually turn red in the fall. The Cotoneaster is one of the few reliable colourful shrubs. If given enough time they turn a brilliant carmine.

Red Berries
While walking about on the Worldwide Photo Walk in Calgary’s Kensington district, I saw many yellow and coloured leaves. I did find one shrub with green leaves and red berries. It is still unidentified as of this time.
