Smooth Water
Through the magic of photography, a 25 second exposure turns Athabasca Falls from a roaring torrent into a gentle and creamy stream.

Frozen Moon
The moon looks down on us, and sometimes it looks back up. The moon is reflected in the ice at Vermillion Lakes in Banff National Park. After the sun dips below the mountain tops, everything takes on a blue cast.

Frozen In Time
Caught in the grip of winter, these grasses are on the edge of a prairie pond near Madden, AB. Taking the long way home is often a source for many of my images. The back roads are mostly less travelled and allow you to pull over to take a picture.

Frost
With the colder weather we have been having lately, I thought I’d post an image that showed the nicer side of winter. Hoar frost forms at a point where the humidity is high enough to enlarge the frost crystals on the things that it touches. It creates larger than life twigs and branches on the bare limbs of the winter trees in a white on white environment. One of winter’s more pleasing scenes.
