White Flower
From my Mother’s garden in Taber, Alberta. She probably identified the flower for me at the time, but I’ve since forgotten what is it’s variety.

Winter Gardens
There was very little color out on the day this was photographed. The two previous in this series, I processed in black and white. In this image there was a hint of blue in the overcast sky and some of the deciduous trees had a reddish brown color to them, so I thought I would keep the pastel tones. The bridge and temple bell blend into the landscape, as if natural.

Snowy Evergreens

Nikka Yuko Morning
On a cold (-20c) New Year’s Eve morning just after the break of day, my buddy Mike and I were walking along Henderson Lake looking for photo ops after the sunrise proved unspectacular. We happened along the open back gate to Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens in Lethbridge after the sidewalk sweeper had entered. We wandered about undisturbed at a very quiet time in the morning. It allowed me to take some time composing shots to take advantage of the beauty of the scene.
