Frilly Flower

Another flower that I don’t remember the name. It is an exercise in depth of field. A couple of hours in my Mother’s flower garden gives me a wide selection of images to work on.

All of the images this week were taken handheld with my Nikon D300s, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8.

Morning Glory

Morning Glory

This week’s posts are brought to you courtesy of my Mother’s garden. The morning glory can be hard to photograph. In this image, the stamen and the far side of the trumpet are sharp but the near edge is out of focus. The colour is also hard to manage. On my main screen, the flower looks blue with purplish veins and on another monitor it looks purple. On location, it might have been a bit in between.
