On differing levels, the clouds receive the light from the setting sun at different angle and wavelengths causing a range of colour temperatures, hence, multicolour clouds.

Frost

With the colder weather we have been having lately, I thought I’d post an image that showed the nicer side of winter. Hoar frost forms at a point where the humidity is high enough to enlarge the frost crystals on the things that it touches. It creates larger than life twigs and branches on the bare limbs of the winter trees in a white on white environment. One of winter’s more pleasing scenes.
