Retlaw Church

Retlaw Church

Retlaw is an interesting place. There’s not much left there but a few houses and the church. The church fell into disrepair and sat basically abandoned for many years. In the 1990’s the local area residents banded together and restored the church. Since then, the building has served for community functions, a couple weddings and even a funeral. The facility comes to life each Christmas when they hold an annual Christmas service. Retlaw also has ties to my family. My Mother taught in a one room schoolhouse there in the 1950’s. Sadly the school no longer exists.

In the best light…
