In A Whirl

 

Although there are challenges involved with working in groups, there are times when you don’t have enough hands or arms. If you were working alone you’d need a ton of stands and clamps and places to put them. Our lovely model Meg can be found at The Kraken Queen. Working with me on this shoot was Sheila Paulson and Denis Semenov of SDL Photo.

This assignment from Dave Brosha was motion with flash. We decided to go with a stroboscopic effect for multiple images on a timed exposure. Our setup had Sheila triggering all 3 of our cameras, with Denis strobing from the back and me from the front. I would have liked a little more back light, enough to create a rim light but I think the results are interesting.
