The Trans-Canada Highway runs along side the Columbia River west of Golden, BC. One evening I saw the golden light of the sunset reflecting off of the surface of the river, and the crepuscular rays were streaming out from under the cloud. Perfect for a simple click.
The highway crosses to the other side of the river a few miles west of here. The river swings to the north and back down around Rogers Pass. The road used to follow the river on the Big Bend Highway before the road through Rogers Pass was constructed. The river comes down through the Mica Dam past Revelstoke, where the Trans-Canada crosses for the Columbia for the final time before the river’s journey to the United States.
