Bluebell Afternoon

Bluebell Afternoon

When you get the sun shining on the back side of Bluebell flowers, you can see the translucent nature of the blossoms. In this example, the sun is slightly to the left, shining through the left flower and reflecting off of the back of the right hand bloom. I try to blow the dust of of each slide before it gets scanned, but this one had an unbelievable amount of dust showing up on the scan. So, I took the lazy route and processed the image in Nik Software’s Analog Efex Pro 2 to create a rougher looking finished product, with the all the the dust spots left in.
