The Face Of The Yam

The Face Of Yam

I go past Mount Yamnuska every week. Driving by on the highway, there usually isn’t a good place to stop and shoot. Often the weather is drab or the light is weak, when the light is good, the sky is clear. So, I’m really happy when the light is good and there are some clouds to shoot against, to make a nicer background.

The official name of the mountain is Mount John Laurie, but it’s be long known as Mount Yamnuska, nicknamed “The Yam” by many hikers and climbers.

In the best light…
