Ice Crusts
As spring slowly approaches, the ice releases it’s grip on our lakes and rivers. Where it can’t stay in open water, it hangs on to the edges and surfaces protruding from the water.
Wood sticking out of the water and rocks making their own tiny islands take a while to rid themselves of the tenacious ice. Taken on the Sunday afternoon field session of the Persistent Vision weekend put on by oopoomoo.com with guest instructor David DuChemin at Vermillion Lakes in Banff National Park.
