Persistent Vision, You Shoulda’ Been There

David @ Mooseprints

David DuChemin is an amazing speaker! He spoke from the heart and told us of his adventures around the world. Persistent Vision was a workshop/seminar brought to us by from Darwin Wiggett and Samantha Chrysanthou.

Darwin and Sam opened the Saturday morning session with their talk on the 100 mile diet for photographers. They were followed by David’s morning talk. He related his travels to us. You could tell they and many of the people that he met were near and dear to him. During the question period, when asked about life after his fall from the wall, he was brought to tears telling us about the outpouring of kindness from people that he didn’t know. Much of the audience had a little sniffle, and I must have gotten something in my eyes. There was an intensity to his telling that I found very compelling.

The afternoon ended with an interesting panel talking about the business of photography. From the left: John Marriott, Dave Brosha, Lori Maloney, Andrew Hempstead, Drew Anderson and, of course, David DuChemin. All in all, a great day!
