The Big Giant Head

Big Giant Head

Wonderland is the actual name of the sculpture, but a 12 metre tall wire mesh head sculpture, what else could you call it other than the Big Giant Head. If you were ever a fan of the TV series Third Rock From The Sun, you can’t get the Big Giant Head out of your mind.

The Bow And HeadLooking Over Sixth

Wonderland, a work by the Spanish sculptor Jaume Plensa, was completed in January of this year. The sculpture is a 12 metre tall bent wire portrait of a young girl’s head, and is a key feature of the main plaza area of The Bow Building. There are two entrances on either side of the neck for people to walk inside the sculpture.

The top image was converted to monochrome with a cyanotype toning. The bottom two images are both HDR images merged by HDR Pro in Abobe Photoshop CS6 and finished in Lightroom and Nik Color Efex Pro 4.
