Cloud Forms

Interesting cloud formations always attract my attention. Then the questions are can I stop and take a picture, and can I make a good one.

Layers of clouds are sometimes hard to capture. In this case low hanging clouds are contrasted with a high thin upper layer. The cloud cover had a blue cast but I was able to keep the golden color of the stubble below, maintaining a strong color contrast.

Threatening Clouds

In this image a single layer of cloud has almost a texture to it. I liked the contrast of the random swirls in the sky with the repetition of the straight stalks of the corn. The bit of grass in the foreground anchors the image.
