I Heart Kenworth

KW Silver Anniversary

This 1980 Silver Anniversary Kenworth is in pristine condition. I’m old enough to remember when these trucks were new in the dealers’ showrooms.

The owner, D.W. Cornish has recently obtained a cabover Silver Anniversary that needs restoring for a matching set.

Gord Cooper 1957 KW

I first saw Gord Cooper’s 1957 Kenworth in 2002 or 3 at the Didsbury Show and Shine. Tristan Jackson told me that it was the first truck that he restored.

K100E Cabover Kenworth

This Kenworth K100E is in great shape and is still a working truck.

W900B KW Large Car

Also a working truck, this older W900B has a custom oversized sleeper.

Darin Krause K100 Kenworth In Progress

This is my friend Darin Krause’s 1984 Kenworth K100 that’s in the process of being restored. As a truck driver who works 6 or 7 days a week, he doesn’t have a great deal of time to work on it. Little by little Darin gets things fixed, and some day it will all be done.

In the best light…

      Dear G. Binette,
I am the daughter of Dean Cornish, the Co-owner of the 25th anniversary kenworth W900. I am sorry for such a late reply, we did not come across this article until this year. Our 25th truck has had its das as a work truck before moving on to be a show truck. We are currently restoring a 25th anniversary cabover. We purchased one in Nisku, Alberta with the serial number of 899308, but due to the shape and how far gone it was we could not restore it to its glory. We tore it down to nothing. We also purchased another 25th anniversary cabover out of Whitehorse with the number of 899314, one digit off of yours. We tore it down to nothing also after coming across multiple problems. We have decided to try and combine all the good pieces of both trucks to restore the rig to her rightful glory. She is already in the stages of rebuilding after the frame, which we got brand new rails, and motor have been blasted and painted. We hope to have her at shows next year if time and money are in our favor. I hope to hear from you and any questions, we are happy to answer.
