On a recent wander with my friend Mike Fitton, we went exploring down in the Inglewood district of Calgary, Alberta Canada. Inglewood is one of the oldest parts of Calgary, following Ninth Avenue South East, east of the Elbow River to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary.
Many of the old buildings have architectural features not seen in today’s construction. I spotted the wood details in this half circle transom window. The fine milled hardwoods have seen better days. The glass is cracked and in need of cleaning. I like how older buildings all have names and they put the name and the number on a shield above the door.
