Cougar Town

Cougar In The Snow

After I go to the zoo, it just follows that you’ll see animal pictures. This week I’ve chosen 3 images for “Cat Week”.

With the mild weather,  the cougar [(Puma concolor), also known as puma, mountain lion, mountain cat, catamount or panther, depending on the region, is a mammal of the family Felidae, native to the Americas] was quite active in it’s enclosure in the Canadian Wilds at the Calgary Zoo. The large cat became quite agitated when someone, walking their dog, stopped on the walkway outside the zoo. It’s easy to see how cougars having urban encounters prey on loose pets.

    Awesome shot.
I live in South Dakota and these guys are in the hills. Scary, and very awesome creatures.
