Calgary Centre-East At Night

Calgary Centre-East At Night

There was a little less light in this section of downtown Calgary. The clouds/smoke was rising and moving fast. I knew that I wanted a longer exposure to capture and blur them. I also chose a very small lens opening to get the star burst effect from the larger light sources. Most of the image is being lit by sodium-vapour lights, which have an orange cast. There is a strong white light source (possibly a halogen light) brightening the foreground trees and creating  a white star burst in the lower right.

  1. Stunning, Love how the blue and the orange/yellow contrast with each other.
