Last Blast Of Fall Color


Autumn Mist

Apart from a few locations in the Lower Mainland, autumn has left the route between Vancouver and Calgary.

Low clouds and mist hover over a hillside near Revelstoke, BC. Shades of yellow and orange leaves are mixed with some evergreens.

Three Valley Gap Autumn

The bright red roofs at the Three Valley Gap Hotel stand out against the fall foliage behind. The distant hills are covered with evergreens and are topped with a dusting of snow.

  1. I like the way the sunlight illuminates the red of the building. As for fall color, we don’t get much on a grand scale in Austin (Texas) because we’re too far south, but the flameleaf sumacs, which are small trees, are currently providing some:
