Reflecting On Reflections

Mike Reflection

I have a fascination with reflections. I think it is a common affliction among most photographers.

I don’t know why we are attracted to mirrored images, maybe it’s seeing the world in a different way. By noticing the reflections, we as photographers, are viewing our surroundings with more detail than the average person on the street. You can see my buddy Mike Fitton in the back of the signage but the little strip of yellow is actually me in the curve of the metal (slimming isn’t it?).

Bow Reflection

You can take an iconic or soon to be iconic location and show it in a different light. The Bow Building looks a little different when seen from a puddle.

Car Collection

The reflection adds more interest and context into this already intriguing image.

How do you use reflections in your imagery?

In the best light…
