Moraine Lake, Rain Or Shine

Moraine Lake Under Clouds

On a recent trip to Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, we arrived in the middle of a rain storm.

We made a decision to wait a while and see if the downpour let up. Am I glad we waited. When we got to the top of the rockpile the storm clouds were still roilling above the lake.

By the time we got back to the lakeshore, the sun had come out for more excellent images.

I particularly liked the reflection in the calm water at the shore.

  1. John, these images are outstanding. Glad I was able to be there that day as well. It certainly was worth the waiting out the rain.
