April Snowstorms Bring June Flowers

Peony Hybrid

After the worst spring in my memory, spring has finally arrived. It was into June before I had my first week without snow!

Now that spring is here, the flowers have been trying to make up for lost time. The Peony hybrid was making a spectacular show in my Uncle’s front yard in Taber, Alberta.

Bleeding Hearts

My Mom’s backyard is home to a number of Bleeding Heart plants, and these ones were a brilliant pink color.

Calla Lilly

A local garden center had these purple and white Calla Lilies in their front display to wow the customers.

 Zucchini Blossoms

Vegetables can also have great flowers. These Zucchini blossoms will eventually turn into some wonderful veggies.

How are you celebrating spring?

In the best light…
