Mountains In The Mist

Near Quartz Creek

The weather has really been co-operating for creating amazing scenery. The roads and driving hasn’t been the greatest but that’s winter.

The extreme cold has been pushing the clouds down to lower altitudes leaving the top of Heather Mountain shrouded in mist.

Up Storm Mountain

Climbing Storm Mountain, the afternoon light was already warming up. It added color to the clouds, making them match the color of the sanded snow. I like the way the light glints off of the peak in the background. Who needs blue skies when you’ve got clouds.

In the best light…

John you have awesome images of the highways of AB/BC. Have you ever thought of a coffee table book of the “highways of AB/BC”? I keep an eye on the photo books for sale and it seems like they are all the same, beautiful images of Banff, Canada, etc. I realize a highways book would not have a huge appeal but it might have small niche interest.
