Just Another Mountain View?
Every week I head west through Banff National Park, and am treated to some of the most spectacular views in the world.
I never tire of seeing the sights that Mother Nature provides. There are times when the light is just magical. I love the way the golden light illuminates the south side of Cascade Mountain above. Snow in the meadows below reflect some fill light into the shadowed eastern face. The S curve in the Trans-Canada Highway leads right up to the mountain.
A small cloud drapes Castle Mountain as it is bathed in warm light that contrasts the cool shadowed foreground. The blue tones in the snow and the mist in the trees hint at the –20c temperatures.
In the best light…
