Happy Fourth (American Roads)

Mancos Autumn

The Mancos Valley, Colorado in autumn. A roadside view from US 160 west of Durango.

Dubois Sunset

The Snake River Plateau with a rim lit cloud from Dubois, Idaho. The last light of the day next to Interstate 15.

Semi and Stars & Stripes

The Stars and Stripes wave in the wind next to US 163, looking towards Monument Pass, Navajo Nation, Utah. This is the location for the final scene of the “running man” sequence from Forrest Gump.

It’s been a year since I last crossed the border to the south. So, I’ve dug into the archive for three images from the United States of America. All are taken from the side of the road. I’ll call them easily accessible images, anyone with a car and a camera could grab these, if you are there on the right day. So Happy 4th of July to my American friends, I hope to see you again soon.
