The Peace Bridge
On our photowalk a few weeks ago, the furthest point was the Peace Bridge. It is a pedestrian/cyclist bridge over the Bow River in downtown Calgary.
The sweeping view above includes the walkway to the structure.
A closer view shows what the architect called a “double helix” design. There was some controversy over the cost of the new bridge, among other things. The bridge was completed and opened this year.
